That is a 97% savings. I got 30 bags and am going to freeze them. That equals to about 12 cents a bag.

This week there is FREE cheese at Albertsons...YES FREE!!!
This is how it works. Buy 5 at a time and your total will =$10.60 then use the $5/5 coupon from the Kraft website. You then pay $5.60 and get back a $5 catalina which you can turn around and use toward your next transaction of 5 cheeses and then with the catalina and Kraft coupon your total is only 60 cents per each 5 cheeses!!!!

Kmart super doubles

This week Kmart has been having there super doubles again. Any coupon under $2 will double. However, this go round it is only on health and beauty products so a little disappointing because I wanted more free cleaning supplies! You are only allowed to double 5 coupons per rewards card per day. So I had to drag my poor husband with me everyday I went so that we could do 2 transactions between the two of us.

Walgreens school supplies

With all 5 of us in school full time, it seems impossible to keep a pen or pencil laying around and not having it disappear! So I took full advantage this week of Walgreens starting some back to school sales and stocked up! I had a bunch of 1$ RR to burn through from the Sure deodorant so I used those on my transactions.

In all I ended up with
21- 10 count packs of wooden pencils
13-5 count packs of mechanical pencils
17-10 count packs of pens (blue and black)
1- Cutter mosquito wipes that were on clearance

This was a total of 53 items

Total spent was 6.31 and my total that I saved was $81.40!

That===11 cents an item!

Albertsons 6/28

There are some great deals this week at albertsons! I had a budget this week of 60$ since it was my daughters birthday. And of course part of that I had to use to buy milk and bread and some fruits and veggies. I was able to get all of this stuff and STILL stay under my budget buy using coupons and doublers and I had a few rain checks that I used too.

My total amount before coupons and savings was $292.02
But after coupons I spent $30.72.......This is a 91% savings! I was able to get 110 items which====28 cents an item!!!! Wow!

Smiths super doubles

This last week at Smith's they have been doubling all coupons that are less than 1$ and making them all worth 1$ which makes for some amazing free stuff. My goal is to try and keep better track of what it is exactly that I am buying each week. Here are my purchases for today.

11 tubes of Colgate toothpaste. They were already on sale for 1$ each. I had 11 coupons that were worth $0.75 and they doubled them to make them worth 1$ so all 11 tubes were FREE!
The pickles were on a special savers deal for 2/4$ marked down from 3.29 each. There were $0.75 blinkie coupons by them which made them only 1$ each after the coupons doubled. The pizza rolls were on sale for 1.25 and I had 35cent coupons so when they doubled those they came out to $0.25 each. The bounty paper towels were 1.09 and the $0.25 coupon doubled up to a dollar which made the paper towels 9 cents!

Total before savings and coupons was $49.39

Total spent after coupons was $4.90!!! (I had 4-$1 catalinas that I used towards the total)

Kmart Super Doubles

This week is super doubles week at Kmart. They will double any coupon up to $2, so really that gives you $4 off a product so there is a lot of stuff that you can get for free. The catch is, they are limiting it to 5 coupons per day that will double. If I didn't live right next to Kmart, I would think that this wasn't worth it, but since it is less than 1 mile from my house, it is definitely worth the trip.

So far this week I have done 5 transactions.

Transaction #1 and 2
-5 softscrub kitchen cleaners at 2.99 each and doubles 1.50 coupon which= free
-2 gillette body washes were $4 each and doubled $2 coupon which =free
-4 head and shoulders shampoo and conditioner. These were on sale for 4.50 each. there were BOGO coupons and also 1$ off coupons so I paid 2.50 for a shampoo and got the conditioner for free.
-Always products were also BOGO and doubled $2 coupon off which made them 2.29 for both of them
For all of these things together including tax I spent $12.84 BUT I can also submit it for a $10 rebate which means that in the end I ended up paying $2.84
and I saved 72.41
Transaction #3
-Kandoo kids wipes 3.25 and used 1$ and doubled it=1.25 each
-pledge wipes 2.99 each and used 1$ and doubled it=.99 each
-1 candy bar that was .49 (which isn't pictured because I ate it!)
-total amount=6.59 but then I used a 5$ gift card that I had received awhile ago for another purchase and so my total amount for this transaction was $1.59
and saved 15.33

Transaction #4

-6 packages of Gillette and Mach 3 razors. These were on sale for $6 a package and there were BOGO coupons and a $2 coupon to double which made it only $2 for 2 packages.
-2 Kandoo wipes at 3.25 and doubled $1 coupon=1.25 each

I spent 10.57 but then can also submit this for another 10$ Proctor and Gamble rebate card so in the end I will have paid $0.57 and saved 52.50

Transaction #5

-5 packages of Men's Dove Body and Face bars 3.79 each and doubled 1.25 coupon

-spent 7.21 then got $5 catalina so total price is 2.21 and saved 17.88

There are $1/off 5 peelies on some of them which if you get 5 and double that coupon it makes them 10cents each. Total spent $3.47
Total saved $73.09
This is a 95% total savings and =$0.11 per item

Great week at Albertsons

It is such an awesome week at albertsons! Not only do they have week long doubles, but also many great deals and catalinas going on! Definitely if you are in need of fruit snacks for your kids this is the week to stock up as they are only 0.10-0.30$ each when you buy them in groups of 5!! Also they have another great promotion going on that is called the "Chill" promo. You buy things in lots of 10 and get 10$ back. The great thing is almost everything on this promo has a coupon available and most of them can be doubled!!! Also, another deal going on is the ConAgra catalina, spend 25$ get 10$ back. All Dannon yogurts are included in this sale and they almost all have 0.75-1.00$ coupons that can be doubled so that is also an awesome deal.

So in a total of 2 separate trips (yesterday and today) I did a total of 18 transactions.

I got a total of:

55 boxes of fruit snacks

12 cans bumble bee tuna

5 oreo cakesters

4 welch's chilled juices

bananas

10 apple cranberry frozen juice concentrates

1 gallon milk

1 angel soft toilet paper 12 double roll packs

I am so excited about this!!! And don't rain on my parade and say I am a fruit snack hoarder! I asked the manager if I should have her special order some for me because I didn't want to be greedy but they told me that they have tons of them in the back and more coming in on Saturday so to take as many as I needed.

Purex 3-1 sheets at walgreens, super cheap!

There is a really good deal this week at Walgreens on the Purex 3-1 sheets. they are usually 7.99 each but they are on sale this week for 2/9$ -1$ RR. Combine that with the awesome BOGO coupon that was in the paper a few weeks ago plus there are also 1$ printable or blinkie coupons out there that you can use on the one you pay full price for. Also the bandaids were on clearance for 2.22 but when I used the coupon from the kids activity book for 2$ off each one it made them only $0.29 each!

3-I can submit my reciepts for the Olay to a rebate so I will recieve a $15 check so really after all is said and done it is like I made $1.60 on all this stuff!!!
4- I can submit the reciepts for the razors to the Proctor and Gamble Year of Savings and recieve an awesome coupon book worth $100

Quaker sale!

Fabulous day!!!!!!
I was able to get all of this for just 32.99!!!!!
I had a total savings of 284.56!!!
Albertson's already has an awesome deal on all of their quaker products. when you buy them in groups of 5 it makes them $1 each. Well I was able to pair this sale with an amazing coupon that took 3$ off every 5 items. So for each 5 items I bought I paid 2$ or .40 each!!!
My total for the trip was
5 boxes breakfast cookies
36 boxes granola bars
10 boxes cinnamon life cereal
10 boxes cinnamon oatmeal squares
14 boxes captain crunch!!!

The store was so well stocked and they said they had tons more cases of things in the back so that was great! I didnt have to feel guilty like I was depleting them of their stock because I barely made a dent in it!! I am waiting for some more coupons that I ordered from ebay to go for another round and get my oatmeal this time. But waiting is sooooooo hard!!!

That is a total savings of 240.32!
I was able to get 86 items which breaks down to 98 cents per item!
I had to do 10 different transactions because of my double coupons but it was worth the time it took. I think that it is safe to say that I have enough cereal to last us through summer!!

Crazy week at Walgreens

There are so many good deals going on at Walgreen's this week! I don't think that my husband will ever have to buy another razor for a very long time....and we are DEFINATELY stocked up on cough drops for cold season as well!

Here's how I did it...
-22 bags of Halls Refresh cough drops on sale for $1 each-used 11 ($1) coupons + 11 BOGO coupons making all bags free and then recieved 11$ in register rewards (RR)
-2 Dentek floss pics on sale for 2$each- used 1$/each coupon then recieved 2$ RR for each
-2 Vaseline intensive lotions on sale for 6.99-1.50 coupon then recieved 7$ RR
-6 herbal essences hairsprays and conditioners 2.99-1$=1.99 then recieved 2$RR
-7 Gillette fusion razors 8.99-4$ coupon=4.99 then recieved 6$RR

I am just loving Walgreens this week!!!
Besides my nail polish frenzy, I did another 7 transactions for these products.
I could have done them all at once but I wouldn't have gotten all the register rewards, and hey, if you don't get the money back then what was the point of going anyways??

The best deal were these Thermacare heating pads. They are on sale for $2.49 get $2.49 RR back making them FREE!! But, to make it even better, there is a $1 coupon online, which makes them each a $1 money maker!!!

My total spent after my register rewards was $9.27!!!!

Better than free nail polish at Walgreens!

I bought some nail polish last week and it printed out a register reward for $5 off my next purchase of Sally Hansen nail products. When I got online to check this out I found out how sweet this deal actually was! For every 3 nail products you buy, it will print out a $5 RR for your next nail purchase. This way you can just keep rolling your transactions. I went online to www.thecouponclippers.com and got some 1$/1 Sally Hansen coupons.

I did 6 transactions tonight. Each bottle of nail polish was already 40% off so they ranged from $2.59-$2.99. Using the 3 ($1) coupons as well as the $5 RR each transaction cost $0.80! I also had to use a filler item for each transaction so they had cute Halloween cups on sale for 8/$1 so I just added 1 cup to each transaction.

Final total spent was $4.52 on 18 bottles of nail polish and 8 cups ++++ I still have $5 RR to spend!

Albertson's nabisco sale

Albertson's has been having a really good deal this week on their Nabisco products. Yes, granted, I probably didn't need all this junk food.

I did 4 seperate transactions.

Final price for all 4 was $8.60!!!! I got 16 items, that breaks down to $0.53 an item!!

Total savings for these purchases was $53.30 which is an 84% savings! Plus, the best part is, I can use these receipts to submit for the Kraft/Nabisco promotion and so I will get 2 ($20) rebates back in a few weeks!

Free Walgreens Triaminic

I got a really good deal at Walgreen's this week! Their children's Triaminic products are all on sale for 2/10$ then get back a 5$ RR. IF you get the NIGHT TIME Triaminic at 2/10$ you will get not 1 but 2 of the 5$ Register Rewards making them free!!! Good thing to have around for cold season!

Also these Ghiradelli large candy bars were on clearance for $0.57/each. There is an in store coupon for $1 of 2 ghiradelli bars so with the little extra and tax it was $0.21 for each 2 bars.

Grand total I spent on all of this AFTER my register rewards was $1.91

Crazy at Walmart again

The big bags of Poppycock are on sale this week at Walgreen's for $1.99. Combine that with the $1 in store coupon that is available in their back to school savings booklet at the register as well as a $0.75 MFC (manufacturer coupon) and they come out to $0.29 a bag!!

I got all 6 bags for a total of $1.80!!!!

Using coupons

I have had so many friends and family ask me "How do you do it?"

I feel bad that most of the sale posts I listed below are unavailable anymore. I had meant to get things posted sooner this week but was unable to because I wasn't feeling so well and also school started so it has been a crazy week! I will try and do better so that everyone can get the same good deals that I am getting.

Here are some tips! And if you ever need help just ask!
1. Get organized!!!! I can't stress this enough! If you go into the store without a strategy it will take you at least twice as long and you probably won't even get what you needed because you will end up getting frazzled!

The way that I like to organize myself is as follows.
-All of my coupons are in a folder/binder. I don't cut them up as soon as I get the paper. Rather I keep them in their original inserts and just clip them as I need them. This helps me to know which coupon came out of which insert.

-I go over the ads, plan what it is I want and figure out how many different transactions I will have to do. For example, if Albertson's has a bunch of double coupons available I will do multiple transactions so that I can use all my sets of doublers. You are only allowed 1 set of doubles per transaction. Sometimes they have 2, sometimes 3. Yes this makes it a little more confusing because you really have to keep track of what you want to go in each purchase.

-I like to use the envelope system. I use a separate envelope for each transaction that I will be doing. I write on the outside of the envelope exactly what I need, the quantity that I need, and how much it is on sale for. Then I subtract my coupons from that price. This helps me know what my balance should be so that when I am actually in the checkout line if the total isn't correct then I know the checker or computer system messed up (which happens frequently) and we can catch it and fix it. After you have written these things on the envelope place the corresponding coupons inside so that they are readily available and you don't have to dig for them. Some people also like to put the amt of cash in the envelope that they will use for that transaction.

2. Take advantage of other people's deals!!
There are so many people out there couponing that they come up with some fantastic deals that I would never think of on my own! I use a lot of people's couponing blogs to come up with a lot of my deal scenarios. My favorite websites that I use the most are listed at the side of my blog. My favorite being The Krazy Coupon Lady. Check their blogs often as the deals update continuously. Also they list things not only for coupons but also for mail in freebies and goodies. A lot of these things are available for a limited time or a certain amt so it pays to check them frequently to be sure you get in on all the free goodies!

3. Where to get your coupons?
There is a coupon for almost everything online!! Sometimes it may take a little bit of searching for but it is worth it! Coupons.com has a huge coupon database. You can print most coupons from each computer twice! If you have to go to your friends or family's to print off extra, hey I do it all the time! Also at the side of my blog is a link to the Krazy coupon printable database and there are hundreds of coupon links available there in alphabetical order so you don't have to spend the time searching yourself!
Also there are awesome coupons every sunday in the paper. I have a paper subscibtion so when I get my paper I browse through the coupons and see how good they are. I will then buy extra Sunday papers and the amt that I buy depends on how good I think that the coupons are and how much I think I will use those products. At most grocery stores (for sure I know smiths and albertsons) they sell the paper for $0.99 instead of the usual $1.50 so it is worth it. I usually buy around 10. The money that I save from the coupons far exceeds the amt I spend on the extra papers.

Cleaning out my coupons

So I was trying to organize my coupons since it is getting to be the end of the month and a lot of them are set to expire. I went to Walmart to use them on the travel size items that they have available. You are allowed to use a coupon on a travel item as long as the coupon doesnt specify a certain size restriction or say "excludes travel size". I think I did pretty well and was excited with what I got. It would have been much cheaper but I got 6 boxes of cottenelle wet wipes. They were on sale for $1.98 and I had a coupon for BOGO free so I really only paid for 3 of them and my son goes through these like crazy!

The kotex pads were the smaller packages that have 18 in them. They were $1 and I had (12) $1 coupons so these were free.

The travel size deodarent is perfect for my older 2 kids. They were $0.97 and then I used $0.75/1 coupons which made them $0.22 each.

The skintimate shaving gel bottles were actually pretty descent sized and they were $1.47. I had coupons for 1$/1 which made them come out to be $0.47 each. Not bad!!

Also the Reese's peanut butter cups were free because of coupons in the sunday paper.

Total amt spent was $22.76

Total amt saved was $84.90!!!

Yes I did make the cashier enter $85 in coupons!! It was 3am so they weren't busy and were very gracious about it! It is better to do a transaction like this when it is not a busy time of the day.

Almost free arrowhead water

This water was on sale this weekend at Albertson's for $0.87 a six pack. There were printable coupons online for $1/2. I got 10 packages, used 5 $1 coupons + 3 double coupons. My total after coupons was $0.70 + tax.
Total saved was $16.20

Walgreen's

At Walgreen's this week they have tylenol on sale for $4.49, by one get one free (BOGO).
I had (2) 2$ coupons. With the bogo and the coupons it came out to $0.49 +tax for both tylenols!
Also in the paper a few weeks ago there were coupons for these free glade candles. All I had to pay was $0.24 for the tax on these as well!!

Free lysol wipes and cleaner at albertson's

On tuesday I ran to Albertson's to score some free lysol cleaner before my double coupons expired! The lysol was on sale for 2/4$. I had 6 1$ coupons. I did 2 transactions of 3 cleaners so that I could use my double coupons (you are only allowed 3 per transaction). All I had to pay was tax!

Total spent $0.18 x2!!!!!!
